English Teacher (Hulu/Disney+)
I absolutely love this show, it’s a perfect encapsulation of what I feel going to high school was like. Hilarious teachers, students and shenanigans. It’s so silly and if you’re looking for a little light comedy, this one’s for you.
Scallion Pancake
I spent the entire month eating scallion pancakes, with everything. They’re the perfect vehicle for everything I love, with Indian food, wrapped around smoked salmon, cut up and dipped in a caramelized onion dip. Now I love an extravagant meal but sometimes I want something quick and delicious and to me right now that is a scallion pancake. If you see them buy them.
Jewelry Making
Still in my craft era and this month I made a bag charm/ charm bracelet using jewelry I found at the thrift shop. I just saw this old, dirty and kind of broken necklace and I thought “hey I can do something with that”. I haggled for a lower price (can you believe!), and then brought this broken twisted metal home and took it apart cleaned it and started bending metal and it was so much fun.
In Vogue: The 90’s (Disney+)
I love fashion and Vogue and magazines so this show was made for me. It’s supermodels, New York, London, Anna Wintour, Edward Enninful, all the designers, celebrities, glamour, grunge, the 90’s and it’s delightful. My only bone to pick with it is, for some odd reason Kim Kardashian is in it and every time she would pop up I would think “why is she here?”. She like me was in her parents home, also a child during this time! But other than that chefs kiss.
In my best Game of Thrones voice “winter is coming”, and I am continuing my annual fight against dry skin. This is not a new product and I’m not reinventing the wheel here with this recommendation. I have been a Weleda fan for years, I’ve been using their original rich cream but she is thick and in my opinion not great for on the go moisturizing unless you have ten minutes to rub it in, I would leave it for the nightstand. Now the skin food light is everything I want. I need to invest in more tubes of it because I keep putting it in my purse, taking it out, carrying it around my home like a security blanket. If you too suffer, buy yourself a tube of Weleda and you will never be dry again, Americans you can find this at Target.
Evviva (Københavngata 18 Oslo)
This newish Italian cafe and wine bar is a true delight. I had their mortadella and pecorino sandwich and it was perfect. The mortadella was sliced right in front of me, paper thin and the cheese was the perfect balance and I would love to just move in. I can’t wait to spend the fall here cozied up.
It’s 2004 and I’m watching both Veronica Mars and The OC and somehow twenty years have passed but I’m still watching Kristen Bell and Adam Brody on TV. If you too, were a Seth Cohen girl you’re going to love this romantic comedy. I am absolutely OBSESSED with this show, I binged all ten episodes in a day (the episodes are 22-30 minutes) and I’m already thinking about watching again. Definitely recommend.
I love a good body scrub and my current fave is this one by Clinique. It’s gentle enough to use on your face and the texture is really lovely. It’s safe to use everyday but I use it a few times a week and I really like how smooth my skin feels. A little pricey for body scrub but it’s regrettably worth it.
Cocoa Coffee
We have entered cocoa coffee season in my house. Fall is the time to get cozy and adding a little bit of hot chocolate mix to your coffee is one of my favorite things. I am decidedly unfancy, which I hope is obvious based on this entry, but I need you to know it’s delicious.
